Some people have said they feel uncomfortable about coming to events in the hall because they come on their own and they're not sure about seating.

Just to reassure you. Lots of residents are happy to share a table and look forward to meeting new people. Of course there are others who prefer to just sit with their established group of friends/family and that's perfectly fine to.

We try to respect and accommodate both preferences so my suggestion would be that if people plan to come on their own they speak to a committee member beforehand and they can flag up a table with those happy to share.
