New security gates
Dunton Park Residents' Association
When Regency took over at Dunton, they took away the security patrols we’ve always had because they thought they were expensive and ineffective.
We met with Regency management to talk about security and how it’s supposed to be part of the overall package of services we receive within our pitch fee. They promised to go away and look at better ways to spend the money.
They have now come back to us and said they will pay to install gates and enhance CCTV to bring us into line with the vast majority of park home sites.
On 27 September we were invited to meet the contractors and they showed us what the gates would look like and how they’d work.
The next step is the consultation. That’s where all residents will receive a letter from Regency informing them they intend to install gates and asking if anyone has any queries.
The residents association would like to support new gates and we now have the opportunity to get this done. The overwhelming majority of park home sites already have them but our site had been left behind because Royale Life kept promising gates but never kept their promises.
We know most people will be over-the-moon with improved security. However, we appreciate that some may have concerns at how gates will affect them and their visitors. So, we will be writing a FAQ sheet to answer any questions.
Rest assured, gates aren’t a new invention. They’ve been used on sites like ours (with a similar demographic) for decades and everything’s been fine.
