As you're aware, we're currently facing significant challenges with the landlord. It's unclear what triggered the sudden shift, but they've gone from seeking a constructive relationship with the Residents’ Association to adopting a hostile and combative stance - all within a matter of weeks.

One of the latest demands is that any feedback on site rules must be submitted using their designated form and handed in at the office. If it's not done this way, they say it won't be considered. This is yet another example of them flexing their authority unnecessarily. There's no legal requirement to restrict feedback to handwritten forms, so this insistence is both unreasonable and a misuse of their position.

To be clear: the law does not require residents to use a specific format for submitting feedback. Imposing such a restriction is not only incorrect - it borders on obstructive and intimidating behaviour.

That said, we can challenge that point in due course. For now, please use the form they've provided to submit any comments on the rules and hand it in at the office. Personally, I’d recommend taking a photo of your completed form and emailing it to Sharon Reach as well. Sharon is overseeing the consulatation.

In the email we'd advise just a simple few lines saying this is your feedback on rules but because there's no kind of receipt to say you submitted them in the office - you're sending it by email too for your own records. That way, you’ve got proof it was submitted - belt and braces.
