A few weeks ago, Regency Living formally consulted the Residents Association (RA) about their proposal to stop supplying bottled LPG and require residents to source it independently.

We held a public meeting attended by over 100 residents. After reviewing the pros and cons, the proposal was unanimously rejected.

We wrote to Regency to relay this decision and raised concerns about their consultation process, which failed to include residents directly. This goes against proper procedure.

Regency requested a meeting, held on 27 October 2025, where they stated that consultation with the RA was only phase one and a direct resident consultation would follow later this week.

Low and behold, the very next day, every household received a letter stating Regency will cease supplying gas from 25 November! This wasn’t just a reversal - it was a clear betrayal of what they told us face to face the day before.

We have responded to say we intend to take this matter to tribunal and have asked Regency to pause implementation until a legal ruling is made. We await their reply and will be in touch with residents as soon as we hear back.

We are also seeking urgent talks with our MP, Richard Holden, and Essex County councillors to ask for their support.
