We’ll continue to keep everyone informed as often as possible.

The gas issue is a frustrating and unwelcome burden on us all - and company reputation has been really damaged by all of this.

We’ve submitted a formal application to the court asking for a ruling on whether the company’s actions are lawful. That process will take time - likely months.

In the meantime, we’ve asked the court to order Regency to pause their rollout. That request will be considered in the coming days.

If the court grants a pause:
Great. It gives us breathing room.

If they don’t:
We’ll advise residents to reluctantly sign up to one of the new schemes, while continuing the legal challenge in the background.

So, for now, our advice remains: hold fire.
There’s no rush. The company isn’t proposing to stop supplying gas for another three weeks. The company want to pressure people into signing up early, but you don’t need to do that. You can sign up by phone or online closer to the deadline and the RA will have sign up forms we can distribute too.

And finally, something to consider:

If this really is “for the residents,” then why ignore us when we say we don’t want it? You can’t claim it’s for our benefit, then override our objections. That’s not listening - it’s deciding for us. How does forcing through a change we’ve clearly rejected count as putting residents first?
